[Lord of Abundance] Chapter 46 — The Watcher Within the Dense Forest

Chapter 46 — The Watcher Within the Dense Forest Kun turned toward the guards beside him and said, “Search through the ruins. Besides ordinary-sized skeletons, see whether there are any exceptionally large remains, or any skeletons roughly the size of fairies. Bring them all to me.” “Yes, my Lord!” Under Kun’s orders, the guards quickly spread out, rummaging through the piles of bones scattered across the ruins. Kun murmured softly to himself, “So the Ancient Elven Empire built such a magnificent ruin… merely to enshrine this covenant tablet.” To the ancient elves, this clay tablet—though made of nothing more than ordinary mud—had likely possessed irreplaceable importance. But now the Elven Empire itself had perished. Naturally, the covenant no longer held any meaning. To humans, this was merely a lump of clay with some historical significance. Its value probably didn’t even compare to the rusted weapons and armor scattered throughout the ruins. Yet there was no disappointment on Kun’s...

[Lord of Abundance] Chapter 45 — The Three-Race Covenant Tablet

Chapter 45 — The Three-Race Covenant Tablet “My Lord, are you alright? Your hair…” The guard hesitated mid-sentence, but Kun already knew what he meant. The guard standing before him was entirely white. His clothes were white. His armor was white. His hair and eyelashes—everything except his pupils—looked as though he had fallen into a vat of white dye. Kun probably looked no different himself. After all, they had just been baptized by the Sky Goddess’s divine power. Even the rainbow-colored Ether Liquid pool had been degraded into highly concentrated holy water. “The clothes and equipment are all valuable now. Calling them sanctified items wouldn’t be an exaggeration.” “If you had possessed even one such ‘pure white’ object when we first entered the ruins, those ghosts would’ve fled the moment they saw you. They wouldn’t have dared possess your bodies at all.” “As for the hair and eyelashes… you’ll just have to shave them off and wait for them to grow back.” “Dawn, are you all a...

[Lord of Abundance] Chapter 44 — Blue Planet

Chapter 44 —  Blue Planet “Life Magic— Blue Planet !” Kun’s voice rose into a sharp, resonant chant. Ancient Dragon Tongue. Moon Elf language. Aether speech. And mixed among them, fragments of a language no one on the Eternal Dawn Continent could possibly understand— Blue Star language. Incantations were the medium through which mages communicated with the laws of the world. And this fourth-tier Abundance spell, modeled after the history of life’s birth on Blue Star, required fragments of Blue Star’s language as the medium for its casting. In truth, no one present could understand what Kun was chanting. To minimize casting time as much as possible, he first cast the third-tier spell  Flesh Sculpting  upon himself, altering the structure of his vocal cords. Compared to the limited range of sounds human vocal cords could produce, there existed on the Eternal Dawn Continent a magical beast known as the Echo-Throated Weng Bird. Though only a first-tier magical beast, i...

[Lord of Abundance] Chapter 43 — Guardian of the Ruins?

Chapter 43 — Guardian of the Ruins? It didn’t take long for Kun to arrive at the true core of the underground ruins. After all, it was impossible to miss. A pool of water shimmered with rainbow-like colors, as though every hue in the world had gathered within it. It was mana made tangible. Among mages, it was known as Ether Liquid—the primordial essence of magical elements. Back when Kun had researched parasitic red algae, his original goal had been to use its abilities to concentrate magical elements from the atmosphere. From that, he had hoped to refine this universal spiritual liquid, second only to the alchemists’ so-called Philosopher’s Stone. Unfortunately, he had failed. At the center of the pool stood a petrified wooden pedestal. Upon it rested an ancient triangular stone tablet engraved with countless patterns and symbols, alongside an ordinary-looking wooden box no larger than an adult’s fist—small to the point of seeming pitiful. The material of the pedestal closely re...
